March is now 11 days old and It’s been treating me pretty well. My re-entry into the weekly busking routine has been great!…aside from some days off due to crap weather, but hey that’s Vancity for ya. It feels awesome to be back out on the streets doing what I love. There are so many good people out there and I’m truly grateful to all the amazing folks who have welcomed me back and lifted my spirit to new heights*

Which leads me to my next project which is recording a new album to be released in May! I’ll be recording this one at home and have decided to go a bit more raw and acoustic this time around (Partly due to financial strains but mostly because a lot of you have mentioned to me over the last little while that the raw acoustic stuff is what ya wanna hear) and I’m hoping you’ll be right there with me while I work and play…cause…I’m gonna be placing a live webcam in my home studio 12 hours a day during the whole entire recording process…it’s gonna be crazehhh!

I also plan on releasing a series of B-Sides (Songs that don’t make the album) on www.Soundcloud.com titled “Off The Record”, so that should be kinda cool as well.

In Visual Media News: A whole bunch of “Fan Made” music videos are underway and will be released on youtube in the months to come (please drop by my page www.youtube.com/bodhijones to let me know what song you’d like to see a video for (New or Old)!

Winter is almost over, bring on the sunshine!

I recently took a few months away from music for the first time in about 10 years. I guess I just needed some time to think about where I’d been and where I was going (with music). I honestly wasn’t sure if I could carry on with my delusions of one day making a living through music. I was feeling pretty sick of the struggle…and I was feeling pretty uninspired (the dreaded writers block had caught up with me)…

But after some time away, I’m very happy to say that I feel refreshed and ready to rock softly once again! I realized that music is in my bones and it’s what I need and love to do. We all struggle and stress and get depressed no matter what “Job” it is we’re working, so I might as well follow my musical passion.

Since January I’ve been taking guitar lessons and writing lots. I’m currently recording at home with some new studio gear and it’s all feeling and sounding great! I can’t wait to get these new tunes out to the world, these songs need to find a home*

Stay tuned for the TOUR VIDEO coming very soon, it’s golden! (Twas a ton of footage to wade through, hence the long delay). I’ll also be back on Robson 4 days a week starting March 2nd. So maybe I’ll see ya downtown soon!

Hey, I hope you all have a happy Holidays and an even happier New Year! Thanks for all your support in 2010!

I’m in the midst of taking a nice long internet hiatus and I’ve gotta say it’s been both refreshing and productive.
I found myself a nice little part time job and have been writing a ton of new material, I’ve also been splicing together a video of our October 2010 Western Canadian Tour, which should be up for your viewing entertainment on New Years day. The tour video will have some of my favourite performances at various venues along the way as well as some candid band hijinks. It’s gonna be gold!

In February I plan on doing another acoustic album (With some special guests) in my little home studio and should be getting that out to you guys in late March or early April. The album will be accompanied by two low-budget music videos and a lyric book with Photos!

I can’t wait to see what 2011 holds for all of us, take care and I’ll see ya soon!

Due to circumstances totally out of my hands, the December 10th ahow at Joe’s Apartment has been canceled…It’s a bummer but the show will be re-scheduled for early Jan.

On Friday, December, 10th I’ll be playing a full set of tunes @ Joe’s Apartment (919 Granville Street). Joe’s is a newly renovated rock n roll lounge with a great atmosphere and an awesome sound system, you should definitely come down n say hi. I’ll be playing from 9:15 – 10 pm and Tickets are only $6 !!!

You can buy tickets through pay pal (Send $6 to bodhijones@hotmail.com) or you can pay to download anyone of my albums and I’ll automatically mail you as many tickets as you want! Otherwise you can pay $10 dollars at the door…
