Fifth Floor

November 23, 2009

I’m standing on the corner of broadway burning

It’s pouring rain I’m heading in

cause my disguise is paper thin

I’m hanging out the fifth floor window burning again

I don’t want to jump, I want to win

Cause in the mirror I see myself

And I’m still a little kid reaching out, reaching in

Something’s gotta give now

I’ve been holding out

For what feels like a life time

But someday I’m gonna win

Only god knows when

Man it feels like a life time now

I’m sitting on a park bench watching people again

It’s kinda cool to see them smiling

Cause a lot of us have been kicking stones

Today I feel a little less alone

In all my disappointment

I did not lose my way

Something’s gotta give now

I’ve been holding out

For what feels like a life time

But someday I’m gonna win

Only god knows when

Man it feels like a life time now

Something’s gotta give

Something’s gotta change

God won’t you throw something my way

Man something’s gotta give

Something’s gotta change

God won’t ya throw something my way

Something’s gotta give now

I’ve been holding out

For what feels like a life time

But someday I’m gonna win

Only god knows when

Man it feels like a life time now

I’m tired of waiting

Tired of waiting

Waiting around
