Things are goin well! I played a very light hearted tune “Hey El Niño” on The Peak yesterday and have been getting lots of really positive feedback. I’m gonna record it properly this weekend and will have it up for download by Monday.
I’ve finally found my musical partners in crime! Been practicing a bunch with a percussionist who can sing really well and a lead guitarist with a ton of heart n soul…I think we’re sounding really great! You can catch our first performance together on Friday, February, 5th at Funky’s (Haiti fundraiser).
Also the TV show “Heartland” has requested to use one of my tunes “Photographs” in this years season finalé, which is very exciting!
I plan to continue swinging upward for awhile*
take care, talk soon!

Last night was the final event for this years Peak Performance Project and with such high expectations I’m not surprised that it fell a bit short…We Are The City played first and were definitely the highlight of the night. They were also winners of the $150 000 top prize! Followed by The Left with $75 000 and Bend Sinister with $50 000, although I definitely feel that Bend Sinister should’ve been 2nd.
All of the 16 runner ups were given a $500 cheque, which is super awesome! I can now pay my Long & Mcquade debt and get some more cd’s pressed!
Thanks again to everyone who supported me throughout the project, we’ll get em next year! Take care, talk soon*

Hey guys,
Right now I’m organizing a big concert to raise money for Haiti, it’s gonna be an awesome show! 9 amazing acts will be gracing the stage for a measly $10 dollar cover charge, all of which will go to the Red Cross! There’ll also be a raffle and 50/50 draw. The show will take place sometime during the week of Jan 25th – 31st. So please stay tuned for the confirmed date and time, we need your support to make this thing everything it should be!
Also, if you or anyone you know has anything of value that they’d be willing to offer up for raffle prizes I’d be forever grateful. Thanks take care, talk soon!

Today was not the best day…Had an interview/performance scheduled on 100.5 The Peak that got canceled, was unable to get a busking license from Translink, and my car door decided to fall off… But on the good side of the coin, as if to completely balance out the bad luck with good, I was able to get a busking license from the city for $20 cheaper than the Translink one, a meter maid guy was in the process of giving me a ticket and actually let me off the hook (When does that ever happen?) and I was offered a bar tending job at a pretty sweet little sports bar throughout the Olympics!
So thanks Universe for the roller coaster ride…I guess. Hope your ride is a little bit smoother* Take care, talk soon
