Time is flying by as per usual and The Peak Performance Project is heating up! On Thursday we were given our 5 Peak Performance Project Challenges: #1. Create an online/viral video #2. Re-make/cover a classic canadian song #3. Organize a street team/grass roots marketing campaign #4. Align yourself with a local charity and raise as much money as ya can #5. Put together a budget, outlining how you’d spend the $100.5 thousand dollars if you were to win the PPP. Needless to say there’s a lot of work ahead and it’s a bit frightening, especially as a solo artist.

This past week was a busy one. I launched my answer to PPP challenge #2, by creating The 1st Annual Bodhi Jones Cover Song Challenge, offering $260.50 cash money to the winners (contest closes August 22nd!) Please check it out here: www.youtube.com/bodhijones. I’ve also finished recording two brand new tracks which will complete my new album “Where Does The Time Go?”. The Peak Performance Project is rocking my world once again! After all the stress and madness of last years PPP, I swore that if I ever made it back in, I was gonna stay calm and work smarter than harder….but no such luck, I’ve gone straight back to crazy town! I’ve been stressing and constantly obsessing over how to make my mark in this years project. However with that being said, there hasn’t been a dull moment yet and things are going really well.

I’ve just been voted into Red Robinson’s Talent Show Down for this years star search at The PNE. 30 competitors were selected out of 500+ applicants. The contest is broken into three age groups and so I’ve got a 1 in 10 shot at winning $5,000 and gaining a ton of publicity! The most notable past winner of the event is Michael Buble, he took top prize back in 2002. Fingers crossed.

I also did an awesome interview with supper blogger Jax Said a few days ago, and you can check it out Right Here! On a different note….Over the past few months I’ve been growing more and more frustrated with politicians, corporate greed, and the devastation of our planet and it’s people…so I threw together a little slide show set to music, please Check It Out and pass it on to a friend. Wow, the Peak Performance Project orientation was a blast! Met a bunch of awesome artists and industry folk, learned a bunch about stage presence and performance, got drunky, went to a house party afterward and continued to have a blast! What a day/night*

Things in the works: Two music videos are in the early stages of production, set up two photo shoots for the end of the month, and am recording a few new tunes with Sir. Winston Hauschild next week! I’m in the process of booking a bunch of gigs so stay tuned for the dates, soon to come!
